The course was originally flood irrigated and many of the old dykes are still visible giving you the feeling of how golf was played in yesteryear. The fairways are relatively straight but pretty narrow by today’s standards. The fairways are lined with a variety of beautiful trees of various maturity. The greens are small but well groomed with Penncross Bent and a special strain of Blue Grass. The course is an interesting one and can be a challenge to the experienced as well as the novice golfer.
